All the treasures that you seek.
Meaningless goals so many strive for,
Just worthless things for you to keep

Working hours, days and weeks to reach,
that important position high above.
But nothing you do can ever equal,
having one sweet child to love

This tiny person, oh so trusting.
Those little arms that hold you tight
Giving a kiss so soft and gentle,
And a whisper of Good night.

Asking a million little questions,
As your tucking into bed,
Eyes of love so bright and smiling,
Listening to the story read.

Your very own trusting angel,
Precious child of God's pure grace.
With a heart so filled with laughter
Spreading sunshine every place.

Never take this gift for granted,
This priceless treasure from God above,
It always makes your world much brighter,
When you have this child to love.
